Quite a number of things happened for the past week, hence the long absence in blogging. Some updates.
1. I finally shift into my new house, my OWN house
Have been living there for 2 weeks now, so much things to settle initially, buy groceries, pots, broom, toilet roll, get internet connection (still haven't buy the wireless router though), move the stuff from my friends' house, unpack my clothes. Just when i thought i can live comfortably, the heater in my house broke down 2 days ago...sianz...and it has been freezing these few nights...so cold that i can't even think when i wake up in the moring...literally brain freeze man...so...i grab my sleeping bag, laptop and toiletries and drove to my friends' house to sleep for these few nights...the heater guy is coming tomorrow...hopefully he will get the heater working again...
2. Studies have begun: TR3002 New Venture Creation
The module...well...is taught by a renowned entrepreneurship guru John L. Nesheim. He is really good ah...i'm learning so much about entrepreneurship here that it's beginning to scare me...we have to come up with a business plan in 2 months' time at the end of the course...it's tough ah...my group have a totally of 4 group members, including me...had quite a few late night meetings...and i feel that there are more to come...i'm not complaining...it's really a fantastic course...just that...i can't clique with some of the group members though...started to have some conflicts here and there already...haiz..hope things will turn out well ba...
3. Work at my company is picking up
Well, i guess as they teach me more stuff...i would have to do more ba...still managable though...but it's still the same old lab research...gotta show you guys some photos of my labs next time...it's quite fore-front research...the equipment here state-of-the-art too...Scanning Electron Microscope, Tunnelling Microscope, you name it, they have it...
4. Leisure stuff?
Not at all ah...at least for the past 2 weeks...and John said that the pace of the module is going to pick up very much from now onwards, which means more assignment, more meetings and less time to relax...but i'm learning a lot a lot...guess i should focus more on learning from now till the end of the course (which is in April) ba...think it'll probably be better then keep thinking that i should plan this trip or that trip....some of my batch people are going skiing this weekend though...but i'm not joining them cause i going for a Hip Hop dance concert at San Francisco this weekend...the friend who jio me to go for this concert said she knew the dancers, and can introduce me to them...sure hope that i can get their contacts and maybe learn from them...then maybe i no need to go all the way to LA to find a good Hip Hop dance studio le...
