Well, after an incredible long time without posting a single entry, here is my first post upon reach California.
It's cold here, and colder at night. It's not the snowing kind of cold, but it sometimes falls slightly below zero at night. It's my 2nd day here, and I have water vapour coming out of my breathe this morning, imagine. Here are some updates, note that California time lags Singapore time by 16 hours.
First day 10 Jan 07:
My seniors helped us got a phone number and opened a bank account too, complete with ATM card and cheque book. Then we went back to their house and chill, most of us are trying to figure out the ways to call back Singapore, with advice from our seniors of course. Went out to dinner, and i almost fell asleep due to jetlag. Went back to the house after dinner about 9pm and i simiply lie on the mattress and sleep immediately.
Second day 11 Jan 07:
Woke up at 7am, bathe(it was super cold, but no choice since i have not bathe for 2 days) and went out with my friends to rent a car. The cheap ones are gone, so we got one for about 650 USD for a week!!! It was really too expensive. Some seniors got back and advise us to go check out the rental rates at other places, i guess we are going return that car the next thing tomorrow morning. At this very moment, i'm house hunting on the internet, hope to get a good deal for a good house. We are going to study the Driving Manual tonight and going for their driving theory test tomorrow...wish me luck!!!
